Baden Powell historical gardens is a place where Scouts and Non-scouts come to commemorate the founder of Scouts and Girl Guides, Lord Baden Powell, his wife and a number of commonwealth soldiers who died during World War Two.
The Garden has flags to represent some of the countries where Scouting is practiced, and is a good way to encourage every nation to live in the spirit of scouting.
Our Information Centre is open to allow us share the rich history represented within the grounds and gravesite. From here guests are also guided in areas within Nyeri where they may visit, for example Paxtu.
Available is conference facility with capacity of 50 persons where our guests can carry out trainings and meeting with ease and convenience. The Garden is located within Nyeri town.
There a Lavish green field which allows visitors to relax and take a moment to reflect on Scouting, life and even hold an outdoor event of their choosing.
The Baden Powell grave is the main attraction for the grounds, facing Mount Kenya. Every Scout, Girl Guide, locals and foreigners should visit the place where Baden Powell was laid to rest. It is a Wonder in itself and a must visit to all who call themselves Scouts, at least once in their lifetime.
